The Ultra Music Festival is undoubtedly one of the most important events in the world. It takes place every year in parallel to the Miami Winter Conference and welcomes the best DJs in the world, as well as several thousands of people. Becoming the most international festival brand, UMF will be adding additional stops on two new continents, sharing the excitement on a global scale. Ultra Worldwide will literally be taking over the world in 2014. Ultra will be hitting the road, making new stops in South Africa and Japan.
Ultra has already taken over cities all over the world, stopping in Miami (US), Ibiza (Spain), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Seoul (Korea), Santiago (Chile), and Split/Hvar (Croatia). Now 2014 will boast another impressive expansion to Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa, and Tokyo, Japan.
Russell Faibisch, founder and CEO of the famed festival, recently said that the expansion was triggered by the truly overwhelming demand for world-class electronic acts in South Africa and Japan. Tokyo’s show will be headlined by Above & Beyond and Showtek, the next 20th December, in a party called Road to Tokyo. In South Africa, will be two days, 14th and 15th February, in which Phase 1 will play Dj Tiesto and Nicky Romero, among many others.
