Sónar+D brings together more than 100 global experts from the digital creation and technology industries from 18 countries with 26 roundtable debates aimed at promoting discussion and interaction between different disciplines. Sónar+D will therefore become the ideal setting for innovation and knowledge sharing.
This year, the Creative Technologies Cafè present the work of eminent collectives including: Random International, a group of London artists who have developed one of the most powerful interactive art projects in recent years, Rain Room, an installation that allows you to dance under a cascade of rain without getting wet; Vita-Motus studio, responsible for the astonishing Amon Tobin ISAM tour, who this year present their new work for the Audion live show; and Kery Elmsly, legendary producer for United Visual Artists and recent projects by Universal Everything, Quayola and Mira Calix, among many others.
Also noteworthy are the prestigious journalist Simon Reynolds, author of the classic text of club culture history Energy Flash who will examine the role of the contemporary electronic artist together with Philip Sherburne, SPIN and Resident Advisor Contributor, and Simon Rigg, Phonica Records founder. Meanwhile, the principal figures responsible for the social networks of Lady Gaga and Shakira, two personalities and brands with the highest number of followers in the world, will be discussing how social platforms can transform fans into consumers. Leading representatives from Deezer, Shazam, Napster and Wuaki TV will analyze the business opportunities arising from the distribution of online content.
