Sónar 2012 São Paulo headed by Kraftwerk in 3D

This weekend finally celebrates the largest Sónar event outside Spain: Sónar São Paulo. During Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 will be held over 50 performances distributed in three stages, at the Anhembi Park in the Brazilian city.

The Sónar São Paulo line-up includes the outstanding new show in 3 dimensions from Kraftwerk, stars of the electronic world and one of the most influential groups in music history. The German group arrives at the festival after having sold out all the tickets for its eight shows at the MoMA in New York.

Also Sónar São Paulo presents outstanding international names in today’s music, including James Blake, Chromeo, Mogwai, Justice, Squarepusher, Modeselektor, Flying Lotus, Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto, Four Tet, Cee Lo Green, Jeff Mills, Little Dragon and DOOM, to name just a fews.

A schedule which also include the most important musicians, dj’s and Brazilian producers of the moment: Gui Boratto, Ricardo Donoso, Gang Do Eletro, M Takara Vs. Akin, Bruno Belluomini, Nedu Lopes, Psilosamples, Pazes, Emicida, Dago,…

As is usual in Sónar, and in the area of ​​SonarPro, parallel to the musical programming, many professional activities take place, along with several documentaries and audiovisual works in SonarCinema.

With all this, Sónar São Paulo brings the philosophy of the Barcelona festival to the capital in a format that includes all the features that have made Sónar an international touchstone: a top drawer musical and audiovisual line-up from across the spectrum, a heavily experimental side in a major urban area and in well-known spaces, such as the famous Anhembi Park in this case.
