Walker & Royce

You’re not alone

Breakthrough artists Walker & Royce aka Sam Walker and Gavin Royce, come to us with a stellar three track EP on the Crosstown Rebels imprint. Hailing from the Big Apple, the duo of Walker & Royce evolve the driving sounds of New York House Music with You’re Not Welcome, an addictive debut release, certainly one to watch for the summer season. Combined with embellished hooks and infectious vocals, You’re Not Welcome is the astonishing new chapter from Crosstown Rebels that contributes to a collection of highly demanded artists only worthy of such a world class label.

Track one, the title track, You’re Not Welcome, is a mood-driven tune that features hints of dazzling synths with an infectious vocal. An impressive debut track from the artists, You’re Not Welcome is the perfect warm up for any listener embarking on this Crosstown experience. Stare If You Want To, the essential second track, is a powerful disco bit with old school inspired vocals and funky guitar licks. The B-side brings us the final track, a smoky remix by the Italian, Francesca Lombardo, of You’re Not Welcome. Retaining the subliminal groove of the original, Lombardo’s remix goes deep down into an irresistible dance trip.

Being a part of the Nervous Records family, Walker & Royce have already been hitting the scene with remixes of talents like 33hz, Publicist, and Saarid. 2012 has set the stage for this talented team as a breakthrough year with this massive release. Not only working with the successful Crosstown Rebels label, the duo has yet even more scheduled releases on OFF Recordings and Pets Recordings. Thanks to a unique passion for music and support from top tier labels, Walker & Royce tastefully deliver a juicy bite of New York beats.
