Ten Years of Crosstown Rebels

Crosstown Rebels is one of those labels we follow closely at DocePulgadas. They reach their ten years of existence and celebrate in style with a 3 CD compilation with some of the best themes they have ever released. It is about doing a review of an impeccable record label that started as a music one, and that over time they have been joining activities such as organizing events and managing a roster of artists; all of them of high-quality.

Damian Lazarus is responsible for these ten years of success. It all started when he worked as A&R for the label City Rockers, signing tracks from artists like Felix Da Housecat and Tiga. We all remember that Tiga & Zyntherius Sunglasses at night or the Felix Da Housecat hit Silver Screen Shower Scene, which were out on the legendary label around 2001 and 2002. Shortly Lazarus just decided that he should start his way and we see that it hasn’t gone so bad.

And Crosstown Rebels owe their success to many artists. Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones and Mathew Jonson launched their first tracks on the English label. They have always had a close relationship with Lazarus, who have been offered works and incredible remixes as Jonson did to Hiem She’s The One. Jamie Jones’ Summertime was published in his principles with Ost & Kjex and Seth Troxler then known as known as a group with Love Never Sleeps.

Featured in this most current drop, the tracklist brings the latest artists such as Maceo Plex, Art Department, Russ Yallop and Guti. We like the look at these ten great years of electronic music, and we like Crosstown Rebels keeping the bar high on their releases. Happy Birthday!
