Moon Harbour Inhouse vol 4 part 2

A huge release for Ibiza this season, filled with the talented producers, DJs, this label  has kept island goers moving for the past decade. Moon Harbour brings us their fourth edition of Inhouse Volumes three years after the third Volume was released. With so much progression over those past three years, the imprint hosts again top talents that bring us some wickedly stomping jingles. This compilation was compiled and mixed by Dan Drastic, a long time Moon Harbour resident and regular host of Moon Harbour Nights at the Leipzig club Distillery. The styles of the release range from the deep house sounds of Luna City Express, to the more minimal groovy tech house sounds of Boris Werner, Italobozyz, Reboot, tINI & Marc Antona, Andy Cantana, and of course Dan Drastic. This range of artists and sounds perfectly reflects the width of styles the label has been known to represent in its last 12 years.

Reboot opens up the release with a romping bassline driven tune, Bucaboa relies on repetitive yet catchy grooves to entrench dancefloors into an all out boogie stampede. Luna City Express’ deeper contribution to the release Ultimo, offers an intoxicating display of smooth synths and shimmering percussion that cuts throughout the wide flowing beat. A harder and housier transition, In the Streets is legendary producer Boris Werner’s mark on volume four with pumping house drums and an aggressive vocal that repeats in and out to give this track a touch of old school flair.

Spoken word breaks and catchy hand drum action makes Dan Drastic’s Freaks & Geeks another bumping track that changes up the momentum of the compilation adding even more house inspired drive. Italoboyz feature the hypnotic vocal of Fadila as their hopping track Joy lightens up the mood once more bringing back visions of a beached out dancefloor and seductive pursuits. tINI & Marc Antona close out this impressive compilation with Forked. Packed full of minimal yet lush tech house grooves, Forked is a refreshing end to the island mindset of the listener, like a cool drink with an Ibiza sunrise.
