Colors outside

Colors Outside, released by the ever-famous Pets Recordings, continues the label’s tradition of supporting the best upfront house music to date. Following the last release earlier this year of the incredible Our Friends EP by Glimpse and Martin Dawson, Uffe Christensen comes to the table with his own masterpiece. Starting at a very young age, this Copenhagen based producer, has worked his way into all points of the music universe while continuing to experiment and deliver satisfying sounds all listeners can enjoy.

The Vinyl Only dubbed title track Colors Outside screams summer vibes with a sprinkle of soothing vocals and piano keys. This dynamic original by Uffe uplifts and includes an arrange filled with unexpected drops and rhythmic change-ups. ‘I’ll Leave Soon’ is a stable rise of minimal bass and a dark atmosphere that drops into an acid inspired deep groove, matching the mood of the breathy vocal. Catz ‘n Dogz jump on the remix duties of this original with their ‘Just Leave’ rendition. As dynamic as the original track, Catz ‘n Dogz double up the bass and turn the dark mood into a stomping club friendly mix.

The last track on the EP is another original by Uffe entitled, When The Sun Rose. Another unique take on house music, When The Sun Rose takes us back in time with a vocal hook and chords that call back to popular sounds from the ‘60s. Psychedelic sounds with dramatic drops and builds create an ultimately astonishing bit of groove. Yet again Pets delivers to its fans something they can be proud of by supplying DJs and listeners with music that truly inspires.
