Nacho Marco

Following up his Ghosts EP on Ovum this past summer, Nacho Marco will release Blackmail, his next solo EP on Satoshi Tomiie’s SAW Recordings. Valencia native Nacho Marco has been leading the house movement in Spain for over 20 years with early releases on Alola, Future Groove, and Shinichi.

Launching his own imprint Loudeast Records in 2007, Nacho has worked with top house talents such as Terry Lee Brown Jr, Fred Everything, KiNK and Mark Broom. Since launching Loudeast, Nacho has also released tracks on premier labels such as Plastic City, Freerange, and Kerri Chandler´s Madhouse label with his recent remix of Tony Lionni´s Take Me With You.

Nacho delivers a very diverse four track EP that should find its way into the sets of varied DJs. The Memory Lane starts the EP and takes us back to a time when a straight-forward and steady groove carried the dance floor. Thick pads layer on top of a funky guitar riff and bassline bringing more feel and emotion to this stomping disco tinged track.

The title track Blackmail holds us hostage with its strong acid bass and dark percussive vibe. The track shines with its tight drum programming and captivating vocal elements. A minute long break brings out Nacho’s progressive side adding further dimension to the mix.

The next track Flying picks up where Blackmail left off, with an acid bass line and pensive percussion. The track remains linear as warm pads maintaining the energy throughout. Visiting past influence from his Balearic house roots, Nacho Marco finishes out the EP with the uplifting house vibes of Inside.
