Miguel Puente

Small proposition

Andre Cromm’s OFF Recordings again returns to the top of the charts with only the freshest releases within a newly tailored deep house sound. Promoting good and wholesome producers both young and old, Andre’s OFF thrives forward with Miguel Puente’s Small Proposition EP. Born in Mexico and currently based in Barcelona, Miguel Puente made his name with release on Hot Waves, and Art Department’s No. 19 Music. For his debut on OFF he presents two diverse originals that are sure to be moving floors well into the Miami and Ibiza seasons. As the weather begins to warm up so does OFF with fresh and popping tracks to sing along to.

Developing a deep house sound inspired by catchy hip hop vocal snips and more melodic acid inspired bass sounds, OFF has provided some of the freshest sounds while building a repertoire of memorable music. The title track Small Proposition is the latest example of this niche, relying on a bold vocal and massive bass. A track made to go down with pop-loving DJs; Small Proposition is sure to keep feet moving. With similar ingredients Lil Freakyness uses a sleazier and darker vibe making it a weapon of choice for afterhours sets. Shimmering hi-hat grooves and pumping bass levitate the juicy vocal into a perfect symmetry of freaky groove.

Delivering their first remix for OFF, turning Small Proposition into a more groove-based affair which builds towards a big central break, Mat. Joe return to OFF to remix this massive track. Relying on their steady style of slick house arrange, Mat. Joe cannot be denied their right to creating a more dance floor-driven take on the title track. Both the originals and remix on Small Proposition continue to craft a symbolic sound that is exclusively the sound of OFF. This newer generation of house sub-genres will no doubt continue to be played well into the Spring/Summer season by some of the biggest DJs the world over. With past names like Detroit Swindle, Sharam Jey, and Darius Syrossian, OFF’s outreach to combine multiple production styles into one happy family of talent is proving fruitful and we couldn’t be happier.
