The versatile and creative Alejandra del Pilar Iglesias is always re-inventing herself. Her sister donned her Dinky at birth and she has remained so. She grew up in Santiago de Chile, studied ballet and piano until she moved to New York to work as a contemporary dancer. Ten years ago she moved to Berlin and began working in electronic music. Last year saw the birth to her fifth studio album called Dimension D, which surprises us further with her great singing. It was out on Visionquest, and now it’s time for the single with remixes from Tuff City Kids and Roman Fluegel.

Xanex is an electronic house track, with the Dinky’s voice very present and very seductive. Everything is treated with care: bass, guitar and the little details that give the track a futuristic air. On the remixes, the Tuff City Kids Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer take us on an acid trip while Roman Fluegel uses more the vocal samples through a naked theme, taking the melodies to another level.
