Amirali

Just an illusion

Following his diversely successful artist album on Crosstown Rebels, Amirali brings us his first single, Just An Illusion, featuring three remixes from Real Tone boss Frank Roger, 90s master MK and genre flipping Appleblim. More of a housey cut from his album; Just An Illusion is but a taste from this Iranian/Canadian producer whom has already seen a stunning ascent in electronic music over the past year. With large support from Damian Lazarus, Amiraldi’s tracks have graced the ears of ravers around the globe at Get Lost and Rebel Rave events. Now one of the most buzzing underground artists on the scene, Amirali hits us with some of his best work to date.

Released as an extended version for this singles EP, Just an Illusion is an emotional DJ pleaser with plucky sounds and a hypnotizing groove. Frank Roger lightens the mood of the original with a soaring rework that plays on melodic keys and a hazy lot of pads and drums. MK delivers a classic house sound that introduces the vocal from the original building up into a pleasing drop of old school inspired drum rhythms and tasty key melodies. Appleblim’s cool and futuristic touch sways in a murky atmosphere that touches the hilt of experimental house. Playing every instrument and implementing his own voice into his releases, Amirali’s heart and soul appear to touch dancefloors like no other can. Impressing top DJs and producers with a caress of tasteful underground influence Amirali’s future is definitely looking bright.
