Ahmet Sisman

Dance with the white rabbit

Expanding its global outreach, LA based mainstay Culprit reaches to Germany to pick up Ahmet Sisman as the new artist to be added to the label’s incredible line up. Young yet experienced, Ahmet Sisman has released on heavyweight labels Cocoon and Lessizmore over his only four-year streak as a producer.  Having cultivated a unique sound of darker Tech House inspired by sounds from his native Turkey, Ahmet’s keen dance floor sensibility is one that is tough to match. His Culprit mark features two original works by himself that interpret the label’s sound in unique ways. Familiar names on remix duties of Dance with the White Rabbit include Italian Deep tastemaker Nico Lahs and the infamous Audiofly.

A little different than the typical sounds of Culprit, Dance with the White Rabbit is unabashedly big and driving. With its layers of sweeping melodies, explosive effects and dynamic groove, it is surely one to play in the more tasteful big rooms this season. The second original Hello To Alice is a warmer and more mood driven alternative to the first track with plenty of Juno chord driven momentum and a melancholy approach to moving our feet.

Nico Lahs’ smooth and melodic take on Dance with the White Rabbit is one that drives at the Italian Deep House sounds of today. The romping bassline and subtle percs generate this mix’s low pulse yet energetic flow. Next up Audiofly lend a hand with their low-slung take on the original. Their swaying rendition offers an effective vocal and the typical minimalistic house style that has trade marked the talent over the years. Ahmet Sisman’s position, as his career progresses, is surely one that will lead him to the next level of dance music reality. His talented production takes and unique style will insure a lasting and personable imprint in electronic music.
