Not too long ago he removed his cap and stepped out of his charming and convincing Web Design management alter-ego. He soon had spent every week day since then hunched over his synths in the studio filling up ashtrays at a rate of nots. 2010 was a good year, from his 2 stand-out tracks Rivalry with Irony, and Slip Slop Slap hitting monthly top 10 and top 30 on Resident Advisor. Aside from his releases, Tom participated in a healthy year of gigging, taking his Live show to Fabric, Space Ibiza, Mulletover or Freerotation. From being remixed by Soulphiction, Luke Solomon, Jamie Jones, Wolf and Lamb, and Dave Aju, to completing his first Live compilation album, released in March 2011, he has developed his own characteristic sound. His beliefs in music is based on a philosophy of creating music with bollocks for the dance-floor but carrying enough essence to be enjoyed in the home. Keep your ears peeled for Demac’s uniquely kinked grooves over the coming months.
We have reached the 252nd DocePulgadas issue. Also, we have reached the last entry of the Focus On Hypercolour series by closing out with a great mix by Tom Demac. You will hear fresh releases from Maceo Plex, Maxxi Soundsystem, Infinity Ink, Digitaline and Ramon Tapia, with releases on major labels like Crosstown Rebels, Unike Muzik, Watergate, Supplement Facts or Cityfox, among other smashing new tracks. Enjoy!
