DocePulgadas doesn’t stop mutating to offer to you the best and nothing but the best. On the radio show, so far you’ve heard Javier Galiano for the Spanish edition, and Alberto Sola, in the English one.
Well, in this 2013, for its eighth season on air, there are changes in both editions. The Spanish retakes DocePulgadas Alma mater, Kiko Martinez, who first began in 2006. Javier Galiano is now immersed in his role as DJ, halfway between Ibiza and Albacete, so that we won’t hear him anymore. We wish him the best. Kiko stopped doing the show for professional reasons, mostly to broaden the spectrum of the company and reach other aspects such as promotion, press and Management. Now he sees himself with forces (and especially time) to re-introduce the program. With this, Kiko Martinez resumes his work as speaker, which began in Valencia local stations in the 80s, so it was a shame not to enjoy such an experienced man behind the microphone.
As for the English edition, from now we will have Jon Billick. Meanwhile, Alberto Sola waves goodbye to focus on the content of the website and blog. Alberto is not a novice in radio; he also started at local stations, in late 90s. Although undoubtedly his best-known job is the DJ of Barraca, who was for five years. Thus changing role for Sola, who continues DocePulgadas team, which is part of it from the 2007-2008 season. And let’s go with the new face. Jon Billick is New York native, is part of the city’s underground circuit, besides being a regular contributor to the program, making infosheets and other texts in English. We have to thank him the DocePulgadas landing in NY, last August, and we shall see him in Europe this October at the ADE. Definitely a good path for the new English voice of DocePulgadas. Welcome Jon!
