We already talked of the Amsterdam Dance Event 2012 before the summer, and now, in just a little over one month’s time, the organization adds new names to the festival program.
The most important conference and showcase festival for electronic music will once again take place in the buzzing city of Amsterdam, welcoming over 800 international artists, 3.500 conference delegates and 140.000 festival visitors from over 60 different countries. All this will happen at more than 350 events across 80 venues in the city. This year the event adds an extra day, taking the total to five days from 17 – 21 October.
Some of new additions to the festival program:
2000 and One, Ben Klock, Benga, Christian Smith, David Morales, Dennis Ferrer, Guerilla Speakers, Jackmaster, John Dahlbeck, Kabale und Liebe, Laidback Luke, Mathew Jonson, Oliver Hunteman, Prins Thomas, San Proper, and many more. We remember some of 2011 parties.
Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano – ADE Special 2011
During the day ADE offers a wide selection of interactive workshops, mentoring sessions, technical demonstrations and in-depth round-table discussions, alongside a series of pop-up shops, musical/cross-cultural happenings and unique one-off events across the city. At night the music festival features more than 300 events over five days in 60 venues around the city. We can highlight a few:
· On Wednesday 17th October Josh Wink’s Ovum Recordings returns to Chicago Social Club with guests including Steve Bug and Shlomi Aber.
· Thursday 18th October sees Dutchman Joris Voorn join forces with Derrick May, Deetron and Edwin Oosterwal as Rejected take over Studio 80.
· It’s awards night on Friday 19th October as the DJ Mag Top 100 Awards Show takes place at Amsterdam Convention Factory.
· And Saturday 20th October also offers up a wide-range of musical treats, including Cocoon at Convention Factory with a special 4-hour set from Ricardo Villalobos.
