The 15th edition of Melt! came to a successful close in the early hours of Monday morning after three days of non-stop music from acts including Gossip, Justice, Richie Hawtin, Niki & The Dove, Casper, John Talabot, Maya Jane Coles, Nina Kraviz, M83, Magda, Caribou and The Whitest Boy Alive. The German festival was a sell-out success and with over a third of the visitors coming from abroad, it was a truly international event.
Once again, 20,000 visitors came to the City of Iron to celebrate more than 130 acts and DJs under the sparkling mirrorballs of Ferropolis.
On Friday, the stages saw memorable performances by Bloc Party, and also Caribou, BOY, The Raveonettes, M83, Rufus Wainwright, Mouse on Mars and Plan B, as well as DJ sets by John Talabot and David August at the Big Wheel Stage.

The podium performances on Saturday was formed with Modeselektor, Two Door Cinema Club and Gossip, obtained the best evaluations of the day. And Sunday’s closing day will be remembered for the performances of Lana Del Rey, Zola Jesus, The Whitest Boy Alive, and Richie Hawtin performed in front of a euphoric crowd in addition to a smashing showdown during Justice‘s set.
In 2013, Melt! Festival will be held from 19 to 21 July and tickets are already on sale.
