Following the hugely successful first announcement for Beacons Festival last month they reveal now the next 25+ acts to join headliners Darkside, Daughter, Jon Hopkins and The Fall. Joining the festival’s incredible list of DJs which already includes Dixon, Special Request and Mano Le Tough is London go-to party guy Erol Aklan, Joy Orbison, Dahni (Caribou), Psychemagik, and A Love From Outer Space featuring Andrew Weatherall & Sean Johnston.
Performing on the Red Bull Studios stage, Andrew Weatherall will be making a triumphant return to Skipton on Sunday night, a perfect finale to the festival. Prior to this, a set from the artist formely known as Caribou. Daniel Victor Snaith, aka Daphni will be warming up for Daughter on Friday with his lean and progressive sound.
Bands added to the line-up include the brash pop supremacy from Charlie XCX, the sludgy Psyche of Fat White Family, the off kilter pop of Cat Le Bon, the loud and brutal Metz, peddlars of twee Pains of Being Pure At Heart. If that wasn’t enough add Yorkshire Electronica darlings Submotion Orchestra who join Dublin rapper Rejjie Snow, the half-grown up angst Joanna Gruesome, Sleafords Mods, Womans Hour, Slaves, Adult Jazz, Sivu, Naked (On Drugs), Eaves and Nadine Carina completes the new band additions.
