Soweso

After some years of friendship and working together in the studio, Kabale Und Liebe and Lauhaus teamed up to launch their new label in 2009, Soweso Records. The philosophy of the imprint was to bring a new platform to the Amsterdam scene from both national and international talent. Soweso was meant to bridge the gap between the overpolished techhouse sound and the sometimes too abstract and lo-fi sounding underground music.

With Soweso Records, Kabale Und Liebe and Lauhaus express their vision of what moves them in the house and techno sound. Always looking for music with a strong identity and a character of it’s own, they prove their ability to not fall for the obvious. The label opened with two very successful releases: the vintage sound of the young and talented Makam and his The Hague Soul EP, followed by Con Estrellas EP of the Parisian DJ W!ld with his solid deep house burner and never ending groove.

Since then the label’s release trajectory has been unstoppable. The Romanian Ali Nasser and his Ra EP, William Kouam Djoko with Jammin’ All Over Europe EP, Parisian house music guru Chris Carrier with Logic Sunrise EP, Beesmunt Soundsystem‘s debut EP Circulations, debut Circles of Others EP from US house duo Panos & Sentenza and featuring tech house master Alex Celler teaming up with Stathis Lazarides to form Steller launching their Terrence EP in 2010.
