Crosstown Rebels

This month we look back the closing of our 2008-2009 season, where we dedicated our July Focus On to the British label Crosstown Rebels. Once again we dedicate this Focus On to the smashing London-based label. Its fantastic and well- nurtured career has been full of nothing but hot novelties and groud breaking music as time closes in on its 10th anniversary!

2003 saw the birth of Crosstown Rebels, by the hands of the now well-known and praised DJ/Producer Damian Lazarus. Now, a decade later, his work has turned into one of the most influential record labels, synonymous with good taste, style, and versatility. Crosstown Rebels delivers a unique underground music experience that loves quality alternative sounds thriving with creative young people armed with something new to say. The imprint has always been firmly dedicated to the support and development of the best cutting edge electronic dance music.

Since its beginning Crosstown’s sound has sailed unto the ends of techno and house without fear of risk in a wide catalog of releases that incluyes Carl Craig, Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Mathew Jonson, and Art Department. In addition, sub-labels The Rebellion / Rebelone and the more recent, Parkside Rebels, are once again seeking to  change the rules of the game.

Crosstown Rebels is also immersed in an extensive world tour spread over 18 countries, five continents, and four months, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the label. The Rebel Raves tour will feature most of the artists that have appeared throughout its history in one astonishing evening.
