In our first of autumn’s Focus On series we traveled to France to bring the good news from one of the labels that is currently revolutionizing the Parisian sound. Attracting residents and listeners addicted to its unique blend of electronic sounds.
Created in 2005 by Dj W!ld, Catwash Records has been known since the very beginning to provide upfront and fancy audio. It has made its way to greatness by signing artists from a range of scenes from around the world.
Avoiding genre restriction, the selection of talented products for this Parisian label is simply brilliant with DJs & artists like Boris Werner, Sammy Dee, Chris Carrier, Catwash (band), Shaun Reeves, Lee Curtiss, Adam Shelton, Marco Faraone, Lula Circus, Silvie Loto, William Kouam Djoko, Gauthier DM, Gulivert, Julian M, Le Chien Perdu, and of course the owner himself; Dj W!ld.
One of the undoubted jewels of the label is its compilation and collaboration series called Hors Série composed of eight volumes, providing fresh and new sounds always loyal to the Catwash Records feeling.
The brand freshly released a new record imprint, The W Label that pays homage to a special place created for Dj W!ld and friends. It has but one motto; we have wild records. Since its launch, the W Label has hosted DJ Weld’s debut album Palace with brilliant remixes by Art Department, Chris Carrier, DJ Sneak, Fries & Bridges, Gauthier DM, Jay Haze, Kerri Chandler, Radio Slave, and SIS. No doubt, all mixes are nothing short of wild.
In this Focus On we enjoy four of Catwash’s artists:
- Boris Werner
- Chris Carrier
- Dj W!ld
