All set for commencement a new edition of Amsterdam Dance Event, to be held from 15 to 19 October. More than 350,000 people around the world will attend this festival of electronic music for five full days of music of this genre. During the last three years, this world leader in electronic music events has almost doubled in size and the organizers of ADE are sure to keep the increasing rate in coming years.
On the ADE 25th anniversary of 2013 a series of special events were created: book releases, outdoor exhibitions, special events, music and various film screenings. This anniversary attracted the attention of national and international media, highlighting the central role of the Netherlands in the music industry. Around 2,156 artists were performing in 80 different areas throughout the city.
ADE director Richard Zijlma believes that the successes of ADE and health sector of electronic music are closely linked. Dance music is in the process of conquering the world, and therefore more and more countries and sectors are involved, so ADE becomes a platform of knowledge and global business for everyone, and for the Netherlands and Amsterdam, further.
Dance music is now an important part of the cultural policy of the Dutch government. In the past 18 years, ADE has become an internationally renowned platform in the electronic music scene. This festival is the perfect place to discover the latest trends and emerging musical talents, while listening to the pioneers of electronic music and current mega stars.
In addition to its extensive line up, ADE provides a schedule of the day with a wide range of exhibitions, in-store promotions, film screenings… all around the city. It also presents a wide range of conferences and networking opportunities that focus on music, technology, etc.
